Fiberware Imagefilm

Industrial 2025

Synopsis

An image film for fiberware GmbH (Mittweida), proposed to the client in three concept variants. The lead concept documented in the proposal is "Variante 2 — Der Knaller": a real-film production with VFX elements and the styling motif of "Light Streaks", designed to make fiberware stand out visually from competitors at trade-fair playback.

The film opens on a solar eclipse — darkness with the burning solar corona — and is launched by the first ray of light at the eclipse's end, which races toward and past the viewer. Those rays then become the recurring "Light Streaks" that thread through the entire film. The Light Streaks serve as both the film's visual through-line and a metaphor for the foundation of every energy and information transmission in fibre-optic cabling — fiberware's business.

Through the streaks the audience is guided across fiberware's production sites, manufacturing environments and product world, but always shown rather than explained in detail. Real light-painting performed on location by a dancer (with Dresden's famous Canaletto view as backdrop) is intercut with the digital Light Streak to preserve the haptic feeling of actual visible light, and the resulting clips also serve as artistic separators between sections of the film and as standalone social media assets.

Production Notes

This page is based on the concept proposal "Fiberware Imagefilm Konzepte" dated 20 January 2025, sent to Sven Bonitz, CEO/Geschäftsführer of fiberware GmbH (Bornheimer Straße 4, 09648 Mittweida). The proposal laid out three creative variants for the image film and went into detail on Variante 2 — "Der Knaller" — the Light Streaks / VFX / real-film concept summarised on this page. The project has since been delivered. Final runtime, delivery date, chosen variant and any client-approved alternative title should be filled in here once those details are confirmed internally; this page currently captures the proposal-side scope and concept description rather than the as-delivered film cut. The original proposal PDF is filed alongside this page in the project's pitch-deck archive at [Fiberware Imagefilm - Konzepte 2025-01-20.pdf](#FileOrFolder:files/workspace/knowledge/Pixable%20Studios%20projects/_pitch_decks/Fiberware%20Imagefilm%20-%20Konzepte%202025-01-20.pdf) for full reference.
